In the third Design Forum of our 2024 series we feature the winners of the 'TV - Light Entertainment and Band 1 Programmes' category from the 13th BFDG Production Design Awards. The creative team behind 'Catch Me A Killer' talk to BFDG Chair, Blair Barnette.

Warren Grey - TV PD, Anneke Botha - SD and Sarah Hartinger - SAD talk about their design process and the challenges they faced creating a true crime period TV drama set in multiple locations in South Africa. Having to fit in with the production's overall colour palette, they will explain how paint, colour, fabrics, furniture and period vehicles were used to distinguish each individual murder and how archive material from the actual murder crime scenes was used to make the designs as accurate as possible.
